THE MOVIE: The Hobbit movie was quite similar to the book in the way that the storyline did not alter much at all. The characters remained the same as did the plot. The personality of the characters were exactly what you expedted after reading the book- Bilbo was kind and considerate and Thorin was a suited leader. The animation was a little old although you completely appropiate to the book (if you understand what i mean by that.)

THE BOOK: The Hobbit by Tolkien was an in-depth read. At times it seemed difficult to follow the storyline for the characters were consistantly travelling from one place to another. I would suggest the age group who would be able to read this particular book is between 12-16 due to the fact that the read was complicated and deep. During some stages in the book, concentration was lost and boredom set in but this did not last long. the hobbit would be a great book for anyone who enjoys adventure, suspense and fictional creatures/characters.

THE COMPUTER GAME:The Hobbit computer game was a great adventure game for anyone above the age of eight. It had very minimum blood and violence with detailed graphics. This game involves concentration and determination for at times it becomes difficult. The storyline changes slightly compared to the book and movie although it is along the same bases- the trolls, dwarves, Bilbo etc. Bilbo, in the game, is hard to control in the way that he turns and moves but is something you adapt to in time.

THE BOARD GAME: The hobbit board game is a game that needs much time to completely finish it. At the same time it was confusing but simple- the instructions must be read to be familiar with the guidelines. the design of the board is detailed and realistically set out eg. the dragon and mountain. The game, I found, was tedious and tiresome. attention towards the game was not necessary besause it was typically more of a guessing game. I would suggest reading the book first to be aware of the storylines and rules better.

Molly Moon and Rocky (molly’s best friend) were outcasts and classified as “losers” who got targeted by their headmaster and others. Life for them was unfair until…….
Hardwick House for Orphanages was a run down, disgusting home for orphans. It was also the home of Rocky and Molly Moon, who no-one cared for. The library was a place Molly could go to for peace and quiet without any criticisms and rude remarks. One day all Molly heard was rude remarks being aimed towards her and to get away from that, decided to go to the local library. She falls asleep within the walls of the library and wakes to find a hypnotism book on the shelves beside her. She takes it home with her and uses this book to her advantage, letting her to win awards and people’s respect. But it also leads her into much un-needed trouble…

I think the book deals with issues any teenager goes through- relationships, arguments with family and friends and other problems similar to that. I enjoyed the parts when Pip was in the rock climbing championships. When stuff was happening, unlike other parts in the book. It kept you guessing whether he would be able to compete or not. The ending was a bit annoying how you didn’t know what happened. Whether they became friends again, whether the become more than friends or whether she remained with Jordan. my favourite character was pip probably because he was the main character and you hear a lot of him through out the book.
